Three Metres of Drawing

Goblets, Southampton

October 2, 2009 by kevmunday

My friend XwwX has just opened a new gallery in Southampton. I’ve got a few pieces in there and I’ve been painting some walls in the space behind my work too. This is a section of it, some more to go still. I’m gonna be updating the gallery with new pieces on the regular.

A few years back me and XwwX used to live together and twice a week we had a stall on the market in Southampton selling our artwork and t-shirts. We used to make screenprints on bits of scrap paper on our kitchen floor and dry them in the microwave. The results were always varied. Sometimes they’d burn a bit but that just added to the work. Good times. Nice to see how much we’ve both come on over the years. Good luck with the gallery bro!

Check out Xwwx’s work here….

Tessellation

Designing repeating patterns for some rucksacks and new era caps. some people tell me that they find making patterns therapeutic. I find it makes my head hurt. I feel like putting my brain in the freezer for a while, let it cool down. Or a brain wash. I fancy a brain wash.
